In the year 2011 and all years hence, SpaFetish® will proudly devote its professional efforts to giving back to causes that are greater than us. We therefore committed ourselves to giving 10% of every sale to charity. Thus, to commence our efforts, we have chosen a few organizations that we believe are not just worthy of note – but, they are equally deserving of our commitment. Below are the newly selected causes that are near and dear to our hearts. Like us, we hope that you too will find a cause worthy of your care – however measured or small. For, as Albert Einstein reminded us: “The value of man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” Well said, indeed!

Heifer International is a worthy non-for-profit organization whose work is dedicated to being good stewards of the earth, while eradicating hunger and poverty. Since the year 1994, they have improved the lives of those less fortunate, by providing livestock to families who are in dire need of dependable sources of food and income. Additionally, Heifer International teaches the families more environmentally sound means by which to farm the land. Thus, the donation of livestock feeds the families with food, income and through affording them a more dignified existence. To donate to Heifer International, please visit: http://www.heifer.org/

Kiva.org is a non-profit that links givers with entrepreneurs around the world who are in need of start-up funds to launch their dreams. Through Kiva, givers can read about and personally select an entrepreneur they’d like to sponsor. Once selected, donors lend their chosen entrepreneur $25 for their business and when the business becomes viable, the loan is paid back. This is a wonderful cycle of reciprocity that helps empower entrepreneurs around the world (and the giver) to build communities and businesses for the greater good. To sponsor an entrepreneur, please visit: http://www.kiva.org/
